Its great to have lessons and conversations with a native German speaker.

The German study group is great fun and a lovely relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in which to learn from Christoph and the other members. I also have a private lesson to work on my speaking and listening skills. Its certainly helps when I visit Germany.

Christoph are Gaby are great hosts for their German breakfast gatherings which I highly recommend.

Christoph helped my daughter with her GSCEs Physics. He is an excellent teacher and knows his subject extremely well. He’s very understanding and flexible. I would highly recommend him.

I have been looking for a long time for somewhere to learn German where I feel encouraged, relaxed and able to make mistakes without judgement. I am so delighted to have found Rails Farm and Christoph and Gabby. They provide a welcoming, positive environment and Christoph is a wonderful tutor giving structured group classes with great knowledge, empathy and humour. It is also so helpful to have a native speaker. I have already recommended Rails Farm to several people.

Christoph has been helping my twins since September 2023, after trying an online maths tutor that would frequently cancel at short notice. Christoph has really engaged well with the twins, and although both of them struggle with maths, they find his help and direction invaluable. Christoph has also been extremely supportive to us as parents, in navigating any issues with schools and GCSE’s.

Kristoff has been teaching my son maths for the last year, we are so glad to have found him. Our sons understanding of A level maths has much improved and Kristoff teaches in a engaging and interactive way.

Such a great mixture of fun and learning! Christoph and Gabi host regular gatherings; either for coffee, cake and German conversation-or for more structured learning, in their own unique style. Always sociable, but very effective!

I attended a class in January 2022, and although my 60 year old O-level German is schrecklich, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I now attend regularly. Christoph holds us all together, and nobody feels left out, whatever level they are at. The coffee and home-made rolls are very good too.

Christoph has helped me to understand parts of my GCSE maths and physics syllabus. He has been really flexible with his availability and he makes the subject interesting.

We decided to engage with Christoph, after all the lockdowns, as my son was really struggling mentally as well as educationally. H (my son) had gone from a consistent 8 in maths to a 4, would panic during assessments, and be generally stressed. Christoph has found a way to engage H, through pure maths, as well as playing games, but most importantly he has found a way to teach H, that works for H, in a way that is calming and fun. In just one term, H has already risen one grade to a 5, which has done so much for his confidence. We still have a long way to go, but I strongly believe that with the help of Christoph H will flourish and thrive, gaining confidence to once again achieve the grades 8’s that have so far eluded him this year. Found the website via Google when searching for a tutor in West Dorset. Great tutor who now helps with maths and science for our sons of 12 and 14. Set in a lovely rural smallholding which is really peaceful. Top marks!

We cannot recommend Christoph highly enough. He stepped in to teach our son science at a very difficult time in his journey, when he needed to have alternative provision due to covid and mental health challenges. Christoph is extremely patient and thorough. He makes lessons interesting and enjoyable and worked from where our child was at to help him gain a good understanding of all three sciences, and make links across the curriculum. He incorporated our son’s interests and was able to be flexible to meet the demands of a very difficult year in terms of assessment and coverage of the topics.

Learning A-level Physics, noticing my grades have dramatically improved and would highly recommend to anyone needing an extra helping hand to improve theirs.
