Rails Farm in January
Waiting for yet another named storm today!
However, in spite of the weather, there is lots to do on the farm. Gaby is sowing seeds in the polytunnel, starting this year’s vegetables, while Christoph is busy planting willow hedges, pointing the stonework on the house whenever the weather allows and chopping wood for the fires.

Inside, Gaby is producing skeins of hand-dyed wool from out Shetland sheep and alpacas, as well as felting fleeces to make our acclaimed welfare-friendly felted sheepskin rugs. Buy a beautiful sheepskin rug to put in front of the fire … while the sheep happily lives on in the top field with her friends!
Don’t forget to check our produce page to the the selection of wool and rugs; each rug made from the fleece of a named sheep.
Whatever the weather, we are continuing with our tutoring: GCSE and A-level maths, physics and German, primary maths and English, French and Spanish at key stage 2 and key stage 3, as well as our new SATs support group.
